Tomer Israeli

​

As a former member of “Shin Bet” (Israeli Secret Service), former Captain in the Israeli Army Special Forces. At the beginning of his army service he served in Sayeret Matkal - ‘92 Yuval, a prime commando & intelligence unit specializing in counter terror & hostage rescue) and later as a captain and team leader in a recon unit Yachmam. Tomer is also a former Executive Protection Special Agents Team Leader at the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C., Tomer Israeli has over 20 years of combat and training experience.

 

During the Second Lebanon War in 2006, as a Captain and Team Leader, Israeli led numerous recon & interception missions behind enemy lines. He was hand selected for training by the Shin Bet and became a certified Chief Security Officer, before being eventually posted to the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C.

​

In 2011, Tomer founded the Israeli Tactical School, an executive protection and counter-terror training academy designed to meet the growing demand for a higher level of protective training. The courses offered draw on Tomer’s vast professional experience, including, but not limited to, Head of State Protection, Dignitary of Protection, Covert Operations, Attack Prevention Tactics, Counter Surveillance,Air Marshalling, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Small Unit Commando Operations, Reconnaissance, Hostage Rescue, Direct Action (DA), and Counter-Terrorism Tactics.

 

Since the inception of the Israeli Tactical School, Tomer has had the privilege of training law enforcement officers from over 45 agencies, including the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets), United States Secret Service (USSS), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), United States Pentagon Police Division, 75th Rangers - United States Army Rangers, United States Capitol Police (USCP), United States Marshals Service (USMS), U.S. Delta Force, Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD), Baltimore Police Department (BPD), Howard County Police Department (HCPD), Maryland State Police (MDSP), Montgomery County Police Department (MPD), D.C. Metropolitan Police (MPDC), Swiss Army Delta Force (G7), French SWAT (RAID), Shanghai SWAT (SPU - Unit Training), and Royal Thai Commando Unit (CSD - Unit Training).

 

Originally from the Tel Aviv area, Tomer currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Skills development course offer a logical shooting evolution designed to build a complete shooter, from beginner to professional. 

Course Info

This is basic beginners course is designed to prepare you to operate the handgun under pressure in any emergency situations.

The course focus on implementation of shooting combat techniques, develop the bio mechanics to handle a pistol under pressure in any self defense situations such as home defense, street fight, carry concealed applications and active shooter scenarios.

The course is designed to accelerate the learning curve of all students, regardless of background and experience level.

Course content is inspired by the battle tested technique and tactics of the Israeli Secret Service (Shin-Bet/Shabak) known as the "lone warrior" doctrine.

​This counter terror doctrine is used daily by the Israeli Shin-Bet special agent in the fight against terror domestic and abroad.

The course is a recommended step to take even for experienced shooters, since TAC 1 really set up the basics and fundamentals in a very organized way before you take our other live fire CQB training such as: The active shooter training, room clearing training, bodyguard training or SWAT training.

Prerequisite 

This is a beginner level class no need any experience to attend the course

​

Course Outline 

  • Responsible firearms ownership and defensive applications of the pistol (Guns are possible to rent / ammo possible to buy)

  • Firearms safety that works - in the home, workplace, vehicle, in training, and in carry

  • Understanding what constitutes a deadly threat

  • Concealed carry draw / home defense tactics

  • Handgun handling / sights use / trigger work / precision / reset point / different stances / mags change

  • Dealing with multiple threats

  • Movement and shooting

  • Gun Malfunctions

  • Utilization of cover and concealment

 

Equipment List 

  • Quality functional semi-automatic pistol

  • 3 magazines minimum

  • Belt mounted, dominant side holster

  • Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide

  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning

  • Clothing suitable for training in any weather, pants must have belt loops

  • Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

  • Earmuffs and earplugs

  • Ammo around 300 per day

Without a plan of execution, knowledge is only potential power. In the course we implement to execute CQB plan under pressure through your muscle memory

Course Info

This is a beginners introduction course to room clearing designed to established the base line for urban warfare. In the course we diving to the content of one man room clearing in the context of home self defense and active shooter scenarios. Meaning what do you do in case of emergency in-case the threat can't be avoided or prevented and the operator must act to save the life of his loved ones during home invasion or attack in the house of worship or shopping mall or school or any other public establishment.

In course we learn how to clear a room while scanning the room from the outside known as "limited penetration tactics" and talk about this concept compare to dynamic entry used mostly by tactical teams to enter and conduct room clearing for example SWAT team room clearing during hostage rescue or search a house activity.

Prerequisite 

Its highly recommended to attend pistol or / and rifle TAC 1 courses. This requirement is not a must if the student already feel a capable shooter already.

Course Outline 

  • Live fire room clearing as one man - scan the room using a pie limited penetration, deliberate moment in/out from a room, scanning hallway, stairs, doors, windows, corner fed rooms and center fed rooms 

  • Clearing room live fire in a crowded situation while distinguishing between non-combative and threats 

  • Implement run rabbit tactics is embedded in the system from muscle memory

  • Mags change / gun malfunction / switch to secondary weapon / hand to hand combat in CQB situation when the gun doesn't operate and etc.

  • Quality functional semi-automatic pistol and carbine

  • 3 magazines pistol / rifle minimum

  • Belt mounted, dominant side holster / carbine needed a sling and also iron sights or and reflex sights
